Quotes about Encouragement

When you are tempted to get discouraged, remind yourself that according to God's word, your future is getting brighter; you are on your way to a new level of glory. You may think you've got a long way to go, but you need to look back at how far you've already come. You may not be everything you want to be but atleast you can thank God that you're not what you used to be.

Somebody needs what you have to give. It may not be your money; it may be your time. It may be your listening ear. It may be your arms to encourage. It may be your smile to uplift. Who knows? Maybe just like that little baby, putting your arm around somebody and letting him or her know that you care can help begin to heal that person's heart. Maybe you can give a rescuing hug.

His basic message is meant to put steel in their backbone and to encourage them to run the race and seek the prize of Heaven. He comes to remind them that they have an enemy who seeks to destroy them.

Then I should think of Esther, who went to petition the king contrary to the law.  Esther iv. 16.  I thought also of Benhadad's servants, who went with ropes upon their heads to their enemies for mercy.  1 Kings xx. 31, etc.  The woman of Canaan also, that would not be daunted, though called dog by Christ, Matt. xv., 22, etc., and the man that went to borrow bread at midnight, Luke xi. 5-8, etc., were great encouragements unto me.

Sometimes our light goes out but is blown into flame by another human being. Each of us owes deepest thanks to those who have rekindled this light.

Most of us think wonderful things about people, but they never know it. Too many of us tend to be tight-fisted with our praise. It's of no value if all you do is think it; it becomes valuable when you impart it.

You just need to be positive, believe in yourself, and focus on others.

The best way to help people is to see the best in them. The 101% principle: Look for the 1 thing I admire in them and give them 100% encouragement for it.

I am going to keep a positive attitude and use it to influence others.
