Habakkuk 3:19 says that the way we develop hind's feet (a hind is an animal that can climb mountains swiftly) is "to walk [not to stand still in terror, but to walk] and make [spiritual] progress upon" the "high places [of trouble, suffering or responsibility]!" The way God helps us make spiritual progress is by being with us to strengthen and encourage us to "keep on keeping on" in rough times. It's easy to quit; it takes faith to go through.

You can always tell God how you feel and ask for His help and strength, but talking about negative feelings just to be talking does no good at all. The Bible instructs us not to speak with idle (inoperative, nonworking) words (see Matt. 12:36). If negative feelings persist, asking for prayer or seeking advice is a good thing, but once again I want to stress that talking just to be talking is useless.

If you desire victory over your problems, if you truly want to live the resurrection life, you must have backbone and not just wishbone! You must be active—not passive. Right action begins with right thinking. Don't be passive in your mind. Start today choosing right thoughts.

No matter what you might be going through right now, I encourage you to make a decision that God will bring you through, and you do not have to be afraid of lack in any area of your life because God is faithful.

God has never promised a life without suffering, but He has promised to comfort us and give us the strength to carry on. He has also promised to work good out of everything that happens to us if we love Him and continue wanting His will in our lives (Rom. 8:28).

I have favor with God and man everywhere I go. Everything I lay my hand to prospers and succeeds. I enjoy being a blessing to others. I am thankful for all that God has done for me. God is working on my problems, and I can wait patiently because His timing is perfect.

Prayer makes tremendous power available (James 5:16). Don't let your prayer life reflect weeds of inconsistency or neglect.
