Those who are in famine will always listen to those with food. The problem has been that we in the Body of Christ haven't looked as though we have any food. He was saying that when our minds are renewed, we will see the Kingdom displayed and proven as He did in His earthly ministry. That's what it means to "see" the Kingdom of Heaven. Our souls long to see such things. We have inside of us an unrelenting hunger to watch the Kingdom break into this realm—and not just to watch but to participate, to become the connecting point and gateway for God's power.

As Christians, we must get rid of the notion that the only answer for life's troubles is for us to die and go to heaven. Don't be mistaken—heaven is real and is greater than we can possibly imagine. But the kind of attitude that says rescue from this earth is the only thing we live for is an insult to the power of the blood of Jesus and the purpose of redemption.

God doesn't have to try to do supernatural things. He is supernatural. He would have to try to not be. If He is invited to a situation, we should expect nothing but supernatural invasion.

I have purposed to spend the rest of my life learning what it means to live a life of resurrection power and presence. I know that it is in this way that I can best represent the Father of life as Jesus did. The example that Jesus gave me, along with His great commission, is enough for me to respond with a resounding yes! I will follow with all of my heart, to the glory of God our Father.

The time to pray is beforehand, as Jesus did, crying out to God in private times when nothing is going wrong. That's how to store up power and create an inner atmosphere of peace and faith that you take with you into the troubling situation.

He commissioned you to demonstrate the will of God, "on earth as it is in heaven," transforming this planet into a place radiant and saturated with His power and presence. This is the very backbone of the Great Commission, and it should define your life and mine.
