Truth is powerful. The more saturated we are with truth, the more powerful we'll be in resisting our temptations. And the more we'll naturally direct our cravings where they should be directed — to the Author of all truth.

Being ruled by anything other than God is something God takes quite seriously. And so should I. I don't want to live as an enemy to the cross of Christ. In other words, I don't want to live resistant to the power Christ's death and resurrection provides for me just because I can't walk away from my unhealthy cravings.

This is the power available to us! The same power that raised Jesus from the dead. It may not feel like we have this power, but we do. And each time we proclaim, "I am made for more," I pray all the power-packed truths within that statement rush into our hearts and keep us enlightened.

What gives power to all that I fear others are thinking and accusing and saying isn't the people themselves. It isn't even the enemy. I'm the one who decides if their statements have power over me or not. It's me.
